Labor’s Plan for the Inner North and Inner South

Labor’s plan for the Inner North and Inner South will deliver more services and improve the things local know and love. 
 
The Plan for the Inner North and Inner South includes:

• Upgrades to the Griffith and Kingston Shops, and a new public toilet at Red Hill Shops. This is in addition to work underway to improve Garema Place, Braddon and the Dickson Shops precinct.
• Continued work on the Garden City Cycleway, linking the city, Braddon, Ainslie, Dickson, Downer and Hackett via a new cycleway.
• Upgrades to change rooms at Griffith, Narrabundah, Ainslie, O’Connor and Reid.

A re-elected Labor Government will improve also improve intersections and pedestrian crossings across the Inner North and Inner South. We will construct a new pedestrian crossing at Flinders Way and Monaro Crescent in Griffith and a raised pedestrian crossing on Challis Street in Dickson to help more children walk to and from school safely.

A number of new playgrounds will be delivered over the next four years in the region, including a new playground in Watson, Acton Waterfront and at Griffith shops.
 
A re-elected ACT Labor Government will also deliver major infrastructure projects in the Inner North and Inner South of Canberra, including a new Health Centre in Griffith, light rail to Commonwealth Park and the new Canberra Lyric Theatre. 
 
It’s all part of our practical, proven and progressive plan for Canberra.
