Canberra COVID-19 case numbers
There have been 19 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT to 8pm yesterday.
Of these cases, 17 are linked to known cases or ongoing clusters, with 2 under early investigation. 7 of the 19 cases were in quarantine during their infectious period, at least 8 spent some time in the community during their infectious period and 4 are under investigation.
Sadly a man in his 90s has died from COVID-19. Our deepest sympathies and love are with his family and friends.
8 patients are currently in hospital, with 3 in intensive care.

Canberra COVID-19 testing
A total of 4,906 tests were conducted in the 24 hours to 9am today at ACT Government and Capital Pathology sites.
ACT lockdown to end from 15 October
Subject to the public health risk remaining relatively stable in the next two weeks, the ACT’s lockdown will end at 11:59pm on Thursday 14 October, triggering a transition to medium level public health measures.
From the 15 October, five people will be able to visit another household at any one time, and 25 people will be able to gather outdoors.
