Canberra lockdown – update 31 August

ACT lockdown extended to 17 September

The ACT lockdown will be extended for another 2 weeks, until 11.59pm on Friday, 17 September 17.

Although the lockdown measures have been effective in managing the outbreak, the number of cases being notified every day, including the number that are in the community for part of their infectious period, means there continues to be an important risk of COVID-19 spreading in the community.

Read the full statement on the extension here.

A number of restrictions will be eased from 5pm on Thursday, 2 September. Visit covid19.act.gov.au/act-status-and-response/lockdown for all the details.
